பாரதியார் புதுமைப்பெண் கட்டுரை
இவ்வுலகம் போற்றும் உன்னதக் கவிஞர் பாரதி. பெண்கள் தத்தமது வீட்டிற்குள் முடங்கி கிடக்காமல் தமது திறமைகளையும் பெருமைகளையும் இவ்வுலகம் அறியும் அளவில் சாதனைகள் பல நிகழ்த்த வேண்டும் என அவர் கனவு கண்டார். பாரதி கண்ட புதுமைப் பெண்ணின் குணங்களை இக்கட்டுரையில் காண்போம்.

பாரதிக்கு பற்பல கனவுகளுண்டு. அவற்றில் ஒன்று புதுமைப்பெண் பற்றிய கனவு. பாரதிக்கு பெண்கள் அடிமைப்பட்டு அடக்கி ஒடுக்கப்பட்டு அவர்தம் திறமைகள் மூடி மங்கிப் போக வீடுகளுக்குள் அடைபட்டுக் கிடப்பதில் உடன்பாடில்லை. வீரமும் எழுச்சியும் கொண்டு, தடைகளை தகர்த்தெறிந்து தமது திறமையையும் அறிவினையும் பலவாறு இந்த உலகம் போற்ற பறை சாற்றும் மாதரைப் பற்றி பாரதி கனவு கண்டார். பாரதி கண்ட புதுமைப் பெண் அச்சமற்றவள், திறன்கள் மிக்கவள், மூட நம்பிக்கைகளில் முழுகிப் போகாமல் முனைப்புடன் செயல்பட்டு வாழ்வில் பல சாதனைகளை நிகழ்த்துபவள்.
தான் கண்ட புதுமைப் பெண்ணைப் பற்றி பாரதியார் ஒரு கவிதையில் எழுதுகிறார்:
“நிமிர்ந்த நன்னடை நேர்கொண்ட பார்வையும்,
நிலத்தில் யார்க்கும் அஞ்சாத நெறிகளும்,
திமிர்ந்த ஞானச் செருக்கும் இருப்பதால்
செம்மை மாதர் திறம்புவ தில்லையாம்;
அமிழ்ந்து பேரிரு ளாமறி யாமையில்
அவல மெய்திக் கலையின் றி வாழ்வதை
உமிழ்ந்து தள்ளுதல் பெண்ணற மாகுமாம்
உதய கன்ன உரைப்பது கேட்டிரோ!”
இந்த வரிகளில் பாரதி தான் கனவு காணும் புதுமைப் பெண் என்பவள் அச்சம், மடம் என்னும் திரைகளைக் கிழித்தெறிந்து யாருக்கும் அஞ்சாத வகையில் தனது ஞானத்தையும் திறமைகளையும் பறை சாற்ற வேண்டும் என்று கூறுகிறார். ஆணுக்குப் பெண் சரி நிகர் சமானமாய் தாங்கள் ஆண்களுக்கு எவ்வகையிலும் சளைத்தவர்கள் அல்ல என்பதை பார் உணரும் வகையில் நிரூபிக்கும் பெண்களையே பாரதி புதுமைப் பெண் என்று கூறுகிறார்.
நூறு ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னர் வாழ்ந்த பாரதியின் முற்போக்கு சிந்தனைகளில் ஒரு துளியையேனும் இன்று நாம் செயல்படுத்துவோமெனில் இந்தப் புவியில் மாதரின் நிலை மேம்பாடு அடையும் என்பதில் எள்ளளவும் சந்தேகமில்லை.

Bharati was a great poet adored by the whole world. He did not support women confined to their homes with their talents and knowledge shut inside their little selves. He wanted women to achieve great feats in life. Here we discuss the qualities of revolutionary women as dreamt by Bharati.
Bharati had several dreams. One of them was about revolutionary women. Bharati did not want women to get confined into their homes with their talents suppressed and given to rot uselessly. He wished that women would bravely come forward to shatter the hurdles in their lives and prove their real worth in terms of some starling achievements. The revolutionary woman that Bharati dreamt about is fearless, not given to superstitions and oppression. She would strive hard to come forward and achieve some great feats in this world.
Bharati describes the revolutionary woman he visualized in the following poem.
“Bold and majestic walk with upright looks
Proud of her wisdom, she does not fear anyone on the earth;
The revolutionary woman does not look back.
Not willing to be drowned inside blinding ignorance,
She would emerge forward and prove her real worth.”
In these lines, Bharati dreams of a woman who would deem her equal to men in all regards and will prove her wisdom and talents. Such woman according to Bharati is fit to be called revolutionary women. The poet who lived a hundred years back could visualize such a grand image for women. If we can work together to make a bit of his vision come true, the condition of women on this earth will significantly improve.
