I hope you understand the pronunciation for “ch” and “dd” here–they are not present in English but used extensively in Indian languages.

Here is how it is writter:
Great Grandfather–ਪੜਦਾਦਾ
Great Grandmother–ਪੜਦਾਦੀ
It is just adding a prefix “pad” before grandfather and grandmother. They are pronounced as “pad-dada” and “pad-dadi”. The “d” in “pad” has the sound of Indian consonant that does not come in English just like in “crore”, the original sound of “re” is the sound of “d” here.

Well, actually it is ‘ਭਰਜਾਈ’, which is ‘Bharjai’ in English. The both pronunciations you mentioned are distorted version of the original word. I hope this clarifies.
