Goddess Durga is one of the most famous deities in Tamilnadu. When it comes to worshipping feminine forms, we might say Durga would outperform other forms of Tamilnadu. Almost in every village of Tamilnadu, we find Durga installed in one of the peripheral shrines built inside temple complexes.
Especially Durga puja is done in temples on Fridays. On Sundays, special Durga worship is done in temples during the Raghukal time falling between 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm.
